Hello everyone!

For a long time, I've had the aspiration to create this blog with the purpose of humanizing and personalizing the legal process a bit more. Regardless of culture, nationality, or province, it's crucial to understand how it works and, above all, how to respect it. Unfortunately, I believe this connection has been lost in today's legal practice. However, I want to make it clear that I recognize the existence of excellent legal firms in our country that practice with impeccable ethics, and I have a deep respect and passion for this profession.

To help you understand my approach and what Libre Verdad strives to offer its clients, I think it would be beneficial to introduce myself more personally. I'm Andrea Rojas Martínez, a proud Costa Rican with a great passion for our beautiful country. I grew up in downtown San José and studied at Colegio Superior de Señoritas, an institution with a rich tradition and history that has always been respected in my family, composed of strong and intellectual women.

From a young age, I always felt a bit different. Although my family environment was somewhat tumultuous, it was always grounded in values, principles, and a deep passion for education. At the age of 16, I was fortunate to win a scholarship with the AFS Cultural Program, which provided me with an experience that radically changed my perspective on many things.

Upon returning, I came back with a renewed passion for getting to know and understand different cultures, which coincided with the boom of tourism in Costa Rica. I dedicated myself to working, studying, and specializing in various areas of tourism, both nationally and internationally. For four years, my husband and I traveled the world, working in diving, lodging, and tours, which allowed us to immerse ourselves in different cultures, from Mexico to Asia.

During our travels, I had the privilege of meeting people of various nationalities on a personal level, coming to consider them friends. I learned to respect and value every culture, even when they differed considerably from my own beliefs and values. This period of my life taught me to find the positive in every person, place, and experience, and to seek personal and spiritual peace without falling into extremes.

Our return to Costa Rica coincided with the arrival of our son, Andrew, which again changed the course of my life. While I always maintained a deep respect for tourism, I discovered that my true passion no longer resided in that industry. I realized that everyone deserves to pursue what they are passionate about, and that's how I made the decision to change careers and study Law.

This transition was challenging in many ways, both financially and personally, but it was also filled with beautiful moments, such as the birth of my daughter, Arya. With each semester of university, my love and passion for Law grew stronger. I discovered that my true calling was litigation, not so much to confront in court, as is often thought, but to investigate, interpret, and find viable solutions within the legal framework.

When founding Servicios Legales Libre Verdad, I was clear from the beginning how I wanted to practice Law: without manipulations or confusions, but being communicative, informative, and ensuring that our clients understand how the law works and is applied in Costa Rica. In our firm, truth is free and based on dedication, transparency, and justice. I feel blessed to have a team that shares these values and is always willing to investigate and analyze each case meticulously.

Our goal is to provide our clients with dedication, communication, attention, and respect, always creating realistic expectations. In this blog, we will address a variety of legal topics from our perspective, explaining procedures clearly and simply, and we will also share personal, artistic, and cultural announcements because we believe in the importance of maintaining a balance in all areas of life.

I hope this brief overview of myself and the principles that guide Servicios Legales Libre Verdad has given you a clear idea of who we are and how we work. If you allow us to represent you, I assure you that you will receive dedication, communication, attention, respect, and, above all, the truth.

We are eager to accompany you on your legal journey and help you achieve the justice you deserve within the Costa Rican legal framework!
