It has always been said that Law is a very broad field academically and professionally speaking. However, few stories are heard about how the breadth of subjects and skills that law provides transcends the university or the workplace. Law, from a basic knowledge for genuine interest to its study at higher levels, can be very beneficial in daily life.

In my personal experience, since I started getting interested in Law, I have noticed many changes in myself as a person, starting with increased confidence. Once I began studying it formally, it has forced me to face challenges with determination. Every success and every obstacle overcome has strengthened my conviction in my abilities and cultivated a solid confidence in myself that transcends the academic aspect.

The influence of Law extends to every facet of my social life. I have had countless opportunities to meet people from various fields and cultures, expanding my network and enriching my human experience. Every conversation, every interaction becomes an opportunity to learn and grow, fueling my curiosity and openness towards the world around me.

Another aspect I highlight is discipline, a fundamental attribute in the practice of law, which has become a pillar in my daily life. The need for organization has driven me to use my time efficiently and maintain a balance between my academic and personal responsibilities. This discipline has been a tool that has allowed me to work towards my life goals and feel better about myself in all areas of my life.

In summary, the career in law has been much more than a mere academic choice; it has been an opportunity for personal growth. Through its challenges, I have strengthened my confidence, expanded my social network, cultivated discipline, and achieved many goals related or unrelated to Law.

The environment is something that interests all of us, even if we are not aware of it. It is important to highlight that when we talk about the environment, we can automatically think of forests, rivers, beaches, mountains, or any other area related to nature only. However, the concept of the environment encompasses much more than that.

It is not limited solely to the realm of nature but transcends to our work, our social life, our home, everything that surrounds us daily, and we can even include ourselves as human beings in this concept. Every part that integrates the breadth of what is understood by the environment is important and gives us a reason to care about it.

So much so that, in legal matters, issues related to the environment have evolved to the point where there is international regulation applicable to our country. The importance of caring for the environment from a legal perspective allows us to aspire to a better lifestyle, to opportunities to live better economically and socially. Without delving too deeply into the topic, it can be said that everything goes hand in hand, and the more we take care of our environment from a legal standpoint, the better conditions we will have as human beings in our daily lives.

To exemplify such importance, I would like to mention that the Political Constitution of Costa Rica is our pillar regarding legal norms. In it, we find the so-called fundamental rights, which override any other established law in our country. That said, we can understand the importance of what is expressed there, within which, for this topic, we would like to highlight Article 50: "Every person has the right to a healthy and ecologically balanced environment...". The inclusion of environmental issues at the highest peak of our legal system shows us how important the environment is and how we can collaborate from a legal standpoint through regulations that ensure its care and human accessibility to certain natural resources such as drinking water.
